Big Meadows Shenandoah National Park Lodging

Shenandoah National Park extends along the Blue Ridge Mountains in the U.S. State of Virginia. Skyline Drive runs along, and an extensive network of roads including part of the Appalachian Trail. Most of the forests, the Park has wetlands, waterfalls and rocky peaks as the mountains in scales and old cloth. Shenandoah is the home to many bird species, plus deer, squirrels, and the elusive black bear.

Big Meadows Lodge is located one mile from grassy pastures at mile 51 in Skyline Drive-meadow which is ideal for viewing the night sky. Lodging accommodations range from small, rustic cabins and main lodge room to traditional and comfortable choice. Available rooms are pet-friendly. Although there are no cell phones, in-room services are also available depending on Your provider. Wi-fi is available in all rooms.

The main lodge was built with stones cut from the Massanutten Mountain in 1939 by the CCC and mountain laborers. The interior structure of the lodge, including panels, made of chestnut trees of the original, which is now almost extinct. The main lodge has 29 comfortable hotel rooms, a little and placed on the national register of historic places on April 28, 1997. Spottswood dining room, new market Taproom and Craft Shop located in the main lodge building. The new market Taproom offers a snack menu plus a family friendly entertainment free to all guests.
